Ms. Marcia Wieland’
s professional work as a conductor and teacher spans a wide variety of ages and abilities including experiences with high school, collegiate, and adult choirs.  Ms. Wieland holds a Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education from Oakland University and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting, from Michigan State University.

Ms. Wieland enjoys an active professional status, attending conferences of the American Choral Director’s Association, as well as serving a clinician for private studios and church choirs. She served as director of the choral and drama departments at Eaton Rapids High School in Eaton Rapids, Michigan from 2006-2009.  In fall 2010, Ms. Wieland accepted the position as the director of choirs at Grand Junction High School where she has cultivated a strong program featuring seven choirs and involving nearly 160 students.  In her private studio, Ms. Wieland instructs many students in applied voice, piano, music theory, and bassoon. 

Marcia has been a competitive dressage horseback rider for over fifteen years and is the recipient of a bronze medal from the United States Dressage Federation.  A passionate traveler, Marcia lived in Germany for a short time and has traveled to Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, and Tunisia.  She enjoys an active lifestyle encompassing many outdoor sports, as well as kickboxing and running.  She and her dog Jörgen are outside hiking every chance they get!
